Legacy Starts Today with Lee Domingue

Aug 18, 2020

This week Lee sits down with Carolyn Potter, CEO of The WellHouse, a non-profit ministry providing restorative services to female survivors of human trafficking in a residential setting.  Carolyn is a strong leader with a submitted heart and Lee has built a great friendship over the years of their partnership between The WellHouse and Trafficking Hope, the anti-human trafficking ministry Lee and his wife Laura founded in 2007.  According to Lee, The WellHouse is one of the most effective and excellent service providers in the country as it relates to the care of victims of human trafficking. Join us to gain an awareness of human trafficking, it’s prevelance in the U.S., and learn how you can actively join the fight.

Carolyn Potter has served as the CEO of The WellHouse since 2014.  Her experience in the fight for victims includes 12 years in the field of child advocacy with the family court system through the South Carolina Guardian ad Litem Program, after which she established a non-profit for homeless youth.  She also has a Master’s in Professional Counseling and she became the State Director of the Alabama CASA Network when her family moved to AL in 2012.  She recently participated in founding the National Trafficking Sheltered Alliance, a network of service providers committed to enhancing services and increasing access to care for survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation across the U.S.  Carolyn and her husband, John, love to travel and spend time with their family.
